Situation

Tenato began working with Mage Networks, a High Speed Internet Provider, in the spring of 2017. The company did not yet have a name, or a business plan, but the CEO had an incredible technology – one that could allow the distribution of high-speed broadband virtually anywhere, by simply hopping the signal using a revolutionary type of mesh wireless network. The CEO had tried various partners, sales techniques, and connections to commercialize the product, but had yet to get land the company’s first real-world pilots projects to prove the technology.

Solution

Tenato worked with Mage to develop an entire start-up solution. We worked closely with the owner to research the industry competitors and develop a complete business plan with develop pricing. The owners had the company name, so we built this out into a brand, slogan, and a set of related coordinated names (MagiNet™, MagiLink™, and MagiPoint™) for their network products. We also created their first website, shot videos, created marketing materials, responded to RFP opportunities, made buyer presentations, set up social media, and arranged presence at many broadband conferences. Tenato’s team even assisted in hosting investor events at our office, helping out the installation crews (while shooting photos), and drafting equipment manuals.

Results

After assisting with initial planning and launch, Tenato worked with Mage to sell and secure its first commercial networks to prove the merit and uniqueness of the technology. These pilot networks then facilitated raising investor funds to grow and continually develop the technology. Mage was then able to build an in-house marketing and sales team. Tenato continues to take a keen interest in the company, and assists whenever needed.
