It is with great happiness and pride that we announce that we have added a fabulous new talent to our team here at Tenato; someone we believe will be a real game changer for us.
Jenelle Peterson is a seasoned marketing strategist with ten years’ experience across sales, brand management, training, and speaking. In fact, in her most recent post at the Director of Marketing for the Faculty of Continuing Education at Mount Royal University, she was actually a client of Tenato’s when we completed an in-depth marketing study for her in 2016.
During that time we got to know her and were impressed that she seemed to truly understand the value of market research and strategy prior to execution, which we’ve seen in very few marketers over the years. She also brought a level of honesty and candour we really appreciated.
In addition, Jenelle has been an instructor at MRU, teaching courses in Content Marketing Strategy, and assisting in developing curriculum in the Faculty of Continuing Education. She also spent over five years with 3M Canada, in brand management and sales with great financial results, winning various sales and marketing awards. Jenelle is also a 6th generation Calgarian, with a University of Calgary BComm, who then went on to get a MBA from Queens.
One thing that really stood out about Jenelle was her confidence, and down to earth personality; Jenelle grew up the youngest in a family with two older brothers and learned to hold her own, excelling in sports. With a background that has included plenty of sales and cold calling, she is fearless, empathetic, perceptive, and has her own brand of razor-fast wit.
We can honestly say we’ve been looking for years for a person like her to help share in the consulting work at Tenato…to help us carry the ongoing daily load of developing new business, planning research and creating marketing strategies.
Jenelle, welcome to the team! It’s going to be an amazing journey.
Update on Jenelle in 2020: It was an amazing journey! And Jenelle has now moved on to co-found an exciting new company called “The Wild Life” – a subscription-box e-commerce company that encourages kids to learn about the great outdoors! Go, Jenelle!
